Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2 June 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses e-Marketing. It exists to keep deliverability high for all customers and to comply with anti-spam laws and the policies of our upstream provider, Amazon SES. Violating this AUP may lead to suspension or termination.
1. Permission-based sending only
You may only email recipients who have given you consent to contact them (e.g. signed up, purchased, or otherwise opted in). You must not send to purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party lists. You must keep records of consent and be able to demonstrate it on request.
2. Prohibited content
Do not use the Service to send: spam or unsolicited bulk email; phishing, malware, or deceptive content; content that is illegal, fraudulent, hateful, harassing, or infringing; pornographic or sexually explicit material; or content promoting illegal goods or services. Misleading “from”, subject, or header information is prohibited.
3. Unsubscribe & compliance
Every marketing email must include a working unsubscribe mechanism and your valid identity. We add one-click List-Unsubscribe headers automatically. You must process opt-out requests promptly. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including the NDPA and the anti-spam and bulk-sender requirements of mailbox providers (e.g. Gmail and Yahoo).
4. Deliverability & rate limits
We monitor bounce and complaint rates per account. Hard bounces and complaints are automatically added to your suppression list. Accounts that exceed acceptable thresholds may be automatically paused to protect the shared sending reputation. We may apply sending-rate limits.
5. Security & integrity
Do not attempt to breach or test the security of the Service without authorization, interfere with other customers, send through the Service on behalf of another party without permission, or circumvent plan limits or suppression controls.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend sending, remove content, or terminate accounts. We may also report unlawful activity to authorities. Report abuse to abuse@emarketing.com.ng.
